Money in writing

July 31, 2008

Being a full time mom is hard. You are the one who do the budgeting. Sometimes, the money your husband give is only enough for your daily expenses. What if you want to buy something for yourself? There’s no extra money or budget alloted for that. What are you going to do?

I surfed the internet and find a part time job. I am surprised that there’s a lot of work at home jobs available. I checked the writing category as I had a background on that. Numerous writing gigs are involved. So, I decided to apply.

During my free time, I usually write as a freelance writer. At start, I earn little but it’s enough to see that you are earning while at home. After a while I made a lot of projects, I already have steady clients to make my income higher. I can now buy the things I want. I can even share expenses in our home.

I am happy now with my lifestyle.Being at home is not that bad. There’s also an opportunity if you will seek. There’s a money if you will work hard.Good thing that I surf the internet and land in this kind of job.

I decided to work online

July 30, 2008

I am pregnant and a full time housewife. I need to help my husband in terms of financial matters. So, I decided to find a job. I browse the internet and I found a lot of work at home jobs. Since that I’m pregnant, it’s impossible for me to hire in a regular office based jobs. So this category of working at home is best suitable for me.

I am surprise that there’s a lot of jobs to choose from. There’s a writing gig, virtual assistant, data entry and call center jobs. My interest is in writing. So, I click the link in writing jobs. I noticed that there’s an article about online scammers. So, I have to take precaution to that before accepting and applying for a job. I usually checked the website first and check the forums about the company I usually interested in.We have to check if the company is legit or not.

Until I found ninerniner.com which become my first gig. I am happy with my experience with it.I learn a lot and enjoy writing for them. Earning is my motivation. I will now get my first payment next first week of the month. I’m excited now.

Improving my blog

July 18, 2008

I have written earlier that my blog has been approved by two paid blogging sites. It has been almost a week and so far, I have earned $25.50 which will be sent to may paypal account.

I am very blessed for getting this chance but I feel sad a bit because there are not many opportunities for me. Opportunities are a priority to those whose blogs have high page ranking so in my case, my blog has 0 page rank so there are not many chances. Even if there is, there are a lot of posties out there who wait for it too so when I click on it, all opportunities have been reserved. I feel bad the most when I am online and then I just forgot to refresh the page and when I check again, all slots have been taken. I guess there is really a LOT of us out there waiting to earn as well.

I guess it is back to the drawing boards for me. I have to work on improving my blog and continue to read articles on how I can increase my page rank. Of course, I have to make sure too that the entries I post are worth reading so that the readers will keep coming back for more.

Paid Blogging Gig

July 12, 2008

I have been blogging for 5 years now. Over its course, I have created 4 blogs and right now, I am maintaining just one, Rona

My blog served as an outlet for me to rave about things, rant about my life, or just to plain write my feelings. I do not update it everyday but definitely if there’s something worth mentioning or writing about, it could be found on my blog.

Last year I heard from a friend that she started to earn with her blog. It was a sideline for her but I was not interested then because I did not have much time to spare tinkering with my blog’s layout. However, this year it caught my attention because she earns more from blogging than her full-time job. I followed her lead and submitted my blog to different paid blogging gigs but my blog was not accepted because of low page rank and also because it was not updated regularly. What I did was create a new blog so that I can start anew. It is now almost two months old and finally, I got accepted in one blogging gig. Right now, I don’t earn much yet because I have to work on getting a high page rank so that more opportunities can be available to me. I sometimes get one opps but even that is difficult to get because there are a LOT of bloggers out there looking for the same chance. So to boost my chances of getting more opps, I have to have a higher page rank for my blog. I’ll work on it. I just got to read more on how to achieve it.

Newbie today;)

July 8, 2008

Hi everyone! I am addicted to working at home but there is a problem with my addiction; it is leading me nowhere. I have tried so much already like PTC which, in my opinion, is such a waste of time because you only get paid a couple cents to do useless clicking for hours. You’d be lucky if you made a couple cents…usually you are paid 1 cent. Not worth it. I said “clicking for hours” because in order to make a decent amount you would have to click for that long. Even if you gain many referrals in my opinion, like I mentioned earlier, PTC is a waste of time. Then there’s the Paid Surveys. Ok I am starting to believe the ones out there that are legit and worth my time are hiding. Seriously, most survey sites you sign up for ask you to sign up for more and more different survey sites and before you know it you have a serious amount of junk-mail or just even un-wanted email. Affiliate Marketing was another one I tried and would have stuck to it but I don’t believe it’s for me; having to find referrals to purchase things from the sites you promote. I already hate asking people if I can borrow something from then…lol. Well after a good long search for a decent online job I came across someone who wanted to be my referral in PTC.Talk and he helped me immensely by telling me his working online experiences and he referred me to try posting online. I am liking this so far (I am writing reviews for www.Ninerniner.com) and I hope this works out for me.

Blogging For Fun, or Cash?

July 6, 2008

After reading Ronalyn’s attempt to monetize her blog, it got me curious about how much it’s feasible for an average person to make as a blogger. I don’t mean full-time employment or a mega-blogger like Dooce or Problogger. I just mean an average diary blogger, someone who writes about his or her life. How much can you make that way? Anyone bringing in enough cash this way to leave their job?

And, should you change your blog to make more cash? If you’ve got a lovely diary site, should you stop scrapbooking your life, to write about financing or loans or so forth, because that’s where the money is? Or would you start a side project blog?

Attempt at Paid Blogging

June 19, 2008

When I heard from a good friend how much she has earned in a month just through blogging, I really got very interested. She’s a pro-blogger now and has been contacted by many advertisers for her to blog on some of their products. She’s even considering to make it her full-time job so that she can stay at home and take care of her son, my godchild.

She recommended a few sites which offer paid blogging. I have submitted my blog for approval but it has been rejected due to non-English content and low page rank. I didn’t think there were requirements for a blog to be chosen. As I couldn’t edit my blog entries to change it into all English posts, I just created a new one. My old blog has been on for more than four years now and it has been an online diary for me so I wouldn’t want to edit it just to pass the requirement.

Most of the paid blogging sites require that a blog be at least three months old as the minimum. In that case, I’ll have to wait until August to re-submit my blog. For now, there are other sites I can post on and earn at the same time. I am so glad for these opportunities as it makes staying at home and earning at the same time very possible.

Make Money Writing Electronic Review Blogs

May 14, 2008

Advertisers seem to pay a lot of money for electronic advertising. If you set up a blog that has electronic reviews, there is a good chance that you could make a great deal of money. Many advertisers will pay for ad impressions. People are always looking up electronic reviews before they make a purchase.

One key thing to do is search engine optimized your electronic review blogs. Like one blog could be all mechanical electronic gadgets. Another electronic review blog could be all clocks and another one all beauty tools. You want to be very specific about each type of electronic product category so that you can search engine optimized each of your posts the best.

You will also get visitors that are interested in specific types of electronics, such as musical equipment or recording equipment. This means that the ads will be targeted to that audience and the chances of them getting clicked on is higher for you. Electronic reviews are a great way to get paid to blog.

Blog to Make Money

May 12, 2008

Instead of using just one blog, use several. Some of the best bloggers make the most money by maintaining several blogs at one time. If you become really popular, you can even get people to help you with the blogging posts.

Multiple blogs means that you blogs are targeted to specific audience. You will have more repeat visitors this way. This in turns means more chances that readers will click ads that they find interesting.

Multiple blogs also mean that you can SEO your posts so that they will show up better on search engines. Of course, the higher they show up on search engines, the more traffic you will have to your blogs. Blogs are a great way to feed money into your pocket.

Legitimate Online Money Making Opportunities

April 14, 2008

I have a lot of freetime on my hands once I put my son down for bed. I’m usually either writing for Associated Content or surfing the internet for money making opportunities. I’ve done a lot of research about different websites that offer money for surveys, reading e-mails, playing games, and what-not, and I’ve put together a list of my favorites. I promise you that these websites are legitimate and a lot of them even offer payments via paypal. Here, I will list all of them with a short description and a link to the website. I will also list how much money I’ve earned this month (April 2008) from each of them.

Each month (or maybe every other week), I will update this blog with my current earnings at that time.

You are under no obligation to join any of these websites. I am simply listing them to help those out who wish to make a little extra money on the side. Keep in mind, you must be 13 or older to join them, and it would be smart to open a paypal account (http://www.paypal.com). You only have to open a free account but most of these websites deposit the money directly into that account and from their you can request a check. A few of these websites will send you a check directly instead of through paypal.

If you happen to notice a mistake in this list or know of any other good websites that offer you money, please send me an e-mail at empression@gmail.com.

Site Name: Lazzeo
My Earnings: $5.42
Join Here: http://lazzeo.com/signup?friend=empress
If you’re into MySpace, you will love Lazzeo. It’s extremely similar to MySpace, however, you earn money on the website. You can place your own Google Adsense ads to the website to earn money and you earn money from referring friends. Also, if you sign up for a gold membership, you will receive 15% of the entire websites revenue. If you sign up for a VIP membership, you will earn 85% of the sites revenue.

Site Name: Associated Content
My Earnings: $17.64
Join Here: http://www.associatedcontent.com/join.html?refer=112400
If you like to write, this website was made for you. AC is a website that offers money to it’s members for each and every article they submit. I usually earn an average of $3.00 per 400-word article plus performance payments. Performance payments are based on the amount of page views you receive for each article. You get $1.50 for every 1,000 page views. It doesn’t seem like a lot, but if you use the right keywords and write articles that appeals to a large audience, those views will climb quickly. All of your articles appear in the Google search engine which gives you an even better opportunity of receiving a large amount of page views.

Site Name: Cash Crate
My Earnings: $5.67
Join Here: http://cashcrate.com/551229
Cash Crate is a website that offers money for completing surveys, joining different survey sites (that also pay), and they pay you for referring other members. Not to mention, each time your referrals make a certain amount of money, you get 10% of their earnings. This is a great site for people who enjoy surveys.

Site Name: Fusion Cash
My Earnings: $8.00
Join Here: http://www.fusioncash.net/?ref=empression
Fusion Cash is similar to Cash Crate, however, they offer even more money for your referrals. You fill out surveys and join other websites to earn a pretty decent amount of money. This is another good website for those who enjoy taking surveys.

Site Name: Gangster Greed
My Earnings: $3.98
Join Here: http://www.gangstergreed.com?ref=57700
Gangster Greed is a website that pays you to fill out surveys, sign up for other websites, and also pays you for your referrals. Once again, it’s similar to Cash Crate and Fusion Cash, but it has a smaller amount of survey opportunities available compared to the other two.

Site Name: Inbox Dollars
My Earnings: $5.63
Join Here: http://www.inboxdollars.com/?r=empressive
Inbox Dollars is a website that not only pays you for inviting friends, filling out surveys, signing up for other sites, but it also pays you to simply read e-mails. I’ve had great success with this website. I’ve been a member for quite some time now and I would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone looking for a little extra cash on the side.

Site Name: Snap Dollars
My Earnings: $6.78
Join Here: http://www.snapdollars.com/index/empressive
Snap Dollars is a website that automatically pays you $5.00 just for signing up. You also get paid $5.00 for each friend you refer, get 25 tickets entered into their sweepstakes, and 10% of whatever the referred person makes. Not to mention, they also pay you for completely surveys and other offers. This site is another one of my favorites.

Site Name: Treasure Trooper
My Earnings: $10.12
Join Here: http://www.treasuretrooper.com/390218
Treasure Trooper is a website that offers you money for completing offers, taking surveys, completing their own simple profile surveys, and for referring friends. They also give you “coins” that you can redeem for prizes such as an XBox 360 or an I-Pod. From what I’ve heard, this website gives out the most amount of money compared to any other survey site currently on the internet. A plus!
