Is PokerRoom.com Set to Return After 2 Year Break?

Rumours have been floating around the online poker forums, websites and through the popular social media website, Twitter since the last week of November when the SEO manager of bwin tweeted that the popular poker room was going to return, allowing players to take part in the real money poker cash games. Just as quickly as the tweet was written however, he was bombarded with questions from media and poker players regarding the return of the site – and he recanted the tweet without confirming or denying the fact that PokerRoom was going to return to one of the mainstream poker websites.

The news of the tweet comes nearly two years after the popular poker website went offline for good after becoming a victim of legislation changes affecting the revenue of the popular poker site and has players wondering whether one of the original poker websites is going to return to take its place in the top ten.

News of the tweet broke and prompted questions from the media and fans, but there have been no answers given through the entire month regarding the opening of the popular PokerRoom.com website. No confirmation of the return of the online Texas Holdem playing platform but there has been no denial of the return of the website.

PokerRoom also had a great affiliate program that allowed even non-poker players the ability to earn money from home. The way it worked was that affiliates advertised for the company online and would receive payments according to new signups and how much those players spent at the site in the form of rake. Affiliate marketing has become big business for many, including those who don’t even play poker.

The return of the website may be imminent since the website has been down for more than a week after the release of a cryptic banner that stated the website was going to be going ‘back to the future’. Since the release of the banner, the website has been under construction and has been changed to a sign stating that the website is down for maintenance and is going to be returning as soon as possible. Could this down for maintenance sign be an indication that PokerRoom.com is going to be returning?
