Technology: Is It An Essential Tool For Your Business?

Almost one third of the people take their laptops on vacations. Even during the weekends when there is a weekly off people talk on their cell phones about their business which neither pleases them nor their families. So here one question arises “Should you use your laptop or cell phone seven days a week even when you are spending a holiday with your family?
I can say that one definition of “organization” is “controlling the things you can control, so you can cope with the things you can’t.” In the complex world in which we live, especially with the level of connectivity available, it’s easy to fall into the trap of feeling that we are victims of other people. One thing you should always keep in mind is that customer service is great, but it doesn’t require 24/7 response. It requires communication at the same time. It’s highly frustrating to leave a message and get no response for days, but few situations would suffer if the response came one hour later so you could have lunch with a colleague without interruption.
The issue is not whether you take your laptop on vacation or leave your cell phone on working 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Checking e-mail on a laptop once a day brings peace of mind to most of the people when others are busy in their own work. Technology can be best for conducting your business if you use it in an appropriate way without disturbing the feelings of your colleagues and family members.
