Opt-in lists and Affiliate Programs

If you are going to promote affiliate programs it’s good to have your own opt-in mailing list. You will need to have an email list that others can join so you can promote the affiliate products to people that might want to buy them. Of course, the trick is to offer something for signing up like a free ebook or some free information via email.

You will also need to offer information to your subscribers as well as advertising, make sure your readers click on your emails by ensuring you offer them something for doing so. Give them tips and tricks that relate to your subject area and free bonuses just for being on your list. Don’t just sell, sell, sell. Also remember never spam – we hate it – only send to people that have signed up for it and always offer a way to un-subscribe or you could get in a lot of legal trouble.
