Adsense is a program, which gives advertising revenue for each page of a website. AdSense has been specifically significant for distributing advertising revenue to small websites that do not have the resources for developing advertising sales programs and sales people. However the payment terms have been criticized by the webmasters given that google withholds payment until an account reaches US$100. But a lot of small content providers require a long time, sometimes years to build up this much revenue. Complaints regarding disabling of accounts before the payment of first paycheck have also been registered, however google claims that these accounts are disabled because of click fraud. Google came under fire when the official google Adsense blog showed the French video website imenio.com as it violated google Adsense policies. It has been reported that using both Adsense and adwords can cause a website to pay google a compensation when the website advertises itself.
