ReviewStream Tips

Posted on June 15, 2009 by Rina

ReviewStream may promise you $2.00 per review if they accept it, but the problem is, they’re not so easy to please. Here are some tips on how to get your review accepted for the full rate.

Make your review more than 400 words. In my experience, reviews which are less than 400 words are automatically rejected in ReviewStream. These reviews are not even considered for the bulk rate, and when you submit them you’ll be haughtily told (through your screen, of course) that ”your review is not valuable to us” or something of the sort.

Avoid writing your article from the third person perspective. ReviewStream wants reviews based on your experiences and opinions, so give them that. For example, instead of saying, “The hotel room was spacious,” you may opt to say, “When we arrived at the hotel room, we saw that it was spacious.” Remind them that it’s your experience you’re narrating. The trick is to be subjective rather than objective.

Submit reviews on their most-searched-for topics. These include Cosmetics, Electronics, Travel and related. Many of my reviews are about different hotels and resorts because I do feel that these will be helpful to a lot of people when planning their trip.

Don’t take it personally. If your review gets rejected, or if you’re offered only the bulk rate, don’t swear never to submit a review for the website again. It just means that that particular review you wrote may not be what they’re looking for. It doesn’t degrade your talent or skill. Just like with any other company, business is business.
