Reducing E-Commerce Spam

If you are an internet business owner you have probably received spam in your business mailing or electronic email addresses. This is due to the inclusion of your addresses in a spammer’s list, but you can avoid your mailing and emailing addresses being included in the lists if you follow these simple rules. Firstly, don’t publish your email address in full form on the internet. Most spammers use automated tools to harvest email addresses, and you can make the spammers think that your email address is just words (as opposed to an actual address) by replacing the @ in your email address with the word AT. This gets the message across to your customers but keeps your email address proofed from the spammers’ harvesting robots. Non-business owners can also use this tactic when posting their email address on forums or newsgroups, etc. Anyway, have a happy, happy spam free internet life!
