A huge number of people working on one or more internet based project to earn some extra money or even get a full time income must have gone through Ciao surveys and reviews because this site used to be quite popular among all free lance writers. Earlier they used to pay an upfront payment of $ 1.00 for each full review written by reviewers; later on they stopped this payment level and started a new payment rate which was $ 0.25 per review. A full review is of minimum 120 words. Later on they have completely stopped the upfront payment and started giving rewards for best reviews of month which is merely $ 5.00. What my understanding goes is that they acted quite strangely and since they started feeling that they have got enough reviews on their site now which helped them enhancing their site & community as well as their income from ads; they have stopped spending huge chunk of money on writers.

However Ciao still pays some pennies to its writers in form of income from ratings and views your reviews are getting after getting published but it requires hundreds of articles for a good amount of income which is an off deal for good writers. But if some one wants to use some spare time for a few words review on the products and keep the posts idle then probably some small income of few dollars will keep on coming to you.
