I’m a stay at home parent, and it’s really tough to find a job these days. Employers all want experience. I’ve been out of the work force for the last eight years, and I feel really out of the loop as far as being an employee is concerned.
I hope that paid blogging works for me. I have looked high and low for a work-from-home job, and most that I have found online have turned out to not be legitimate. Paid surveys, data entry…I’ve foolishly bought into them both, and have nothing to show for it but a smaller bank account. From what I’ve heard from my fellow NinerNiner bloggers, and on the Web in general, this is a genuine opportunity.
I also like the fact that I am building my writing portfolio. I now have samples of my writing to show to potential employers, where I didn’t have any before.
I’m hopeful about this opportunity, and look forward to blogging a lot more.
